One should bear in mind that the vast majority of CDM projects in China so far have very little to do with this image of wind power or cleaner electricity generation. It's all been about cutting emissions of HFC23 from the industrial sector. A great result to be sure (1 tonne of HFC23 is equivalent to around 11,700 of CO2 in greenhouse gas terms), but hardly the image that one gets from reporting on the CDM.
