Absolutely superb piece!! Yes, differentiation is an issue. I'm, at this moment, in an advisory capacity to one firm (EU headquartered, but they do all of their PV modules manufacturing and assembly in China) -- and we've opted to go with an advanced manufacturing technologies angle (i.e., as our point of differentiation). The closer one gets to the physics and chemistry, the easier it is to separate from the pack.
