Its good to get the independent view of a Chongqing native. I'd agree with your comment about city officials' limited knowledge about the global economy. At the moment, Chongqing enjoys spectacular growth, but no doubt growing pains will soon become visible. And if the Chinese economy starts to cool, 2nd tier cities like Chongqinq are much more exposed to the withdrawal of FDI than coastal cities like Shanghai or Shenzhen.
