In another sign of the growing maturity of China's IT market, Japan's NTT DoCoMo is to invest with China's Ufida in a Chinese JV that specialises in solutions for mobile working.
The company, Fidatone Mobile Technology and Service, will use DoCoMo's expertise in mobile working and develop solutions based around software from Ufida, an enterprise software company listed on the Shanghai stock exchange. DoCoMo will invest ¥600m for a 33% stake in the venture.
Beijing-based Ufida is hardly a household name outside of China but it claims to be the country's largest enterprise software company more than 50 branch offices in China, HK and Japan. Its customer base includes multinational corporations from developed countries, Japan- and Hong Kong-based SMEs and numerous China customers with overseas operations. More on Ufida's website here.
