When a client requires the supply and installation of a storage system: When a client requires the supply and installation of a storage system, Mecalux uses its unique computer programme to determine a suitable system that will provide maximum optimisation of the warehouse.
All of Mecalux's processes of calculation, testing and design of metal racks are in accordance with the international FEM standards, thus ensuring quality, safety and guaranteed efficiency for our clients.
The Barcelona-based company is currently scouting for locations on China's eastern seaboard for its two plants, one to build basic shelving, the other specialised in automated storage systems.
Despite the dull image, storage systems are quite a hi-tech business. Before installing a new system, Mecalux uses a special computer program to determine a suitable system that will provide maximum optimisation of the warehouse. It also supplies software-driven warehouse management systems that automatically store and move pallets and boxes with minimal human intervention.
Mecalux is one of the world leaders in global storage solutions. The Group has eight production plants in six countries, its own sales structure in Europe, the US and Latin America, and distributors elsewhere.
