Wincor Nixdorf, the German ATM vendor, has opened a new facility near Shanghai to make ATMs and POS equipment specifically for the Chinese market.
The new plant, in the WaiGaoQiao Free Trade Zone, triples the German company's capacity in China and it shows how the modernisation of China's retail banking sector is producing healthy business for technology suppliers.
Eckard Heidloff, President and CEO of Wincor Nixdorf, said: “This expansion of our production capacities in China reflects not only our success in this country to date but also our expectations for future business.”
